2. Gadgets
One of the most common requests we come across for under $20 is definitely the humble flashlight. For wheelchairs and scooters, having a stationary flashlight is a great alternative for weak headlights. A good light on your chair will help you feel more secure and safe when going out after dark. A range of good LED lights exists.
The Life Mounts LED Wheelchair / Walker light features a powerful 300 lumen flashlight that operates on one AA battery, has 3 modes: high, low, and safety strobe and can bee seen for over 1,000 feet. The mount is made of durable silicone rubber, not brittle plastic like comparable products. It has a multi-position swivel and the secure Velcro straps adapt to any mounting location.
USB charger are another gadget that we hear people ask for all the time. Even in this modern world, many scooters and chairs do not come with a USB port to charge your phone. There are several USB charger options available that pull power from your chair or scooter’s battery and convert it to a USB outlet, where you can plug in your phone’s charging cable.
Never be stuck without power again with our line of USB charger adaptors that let you charge your devices directly from your scooter or power wheelchair. Just connect your adaptor to your chair’s charging port and mount the adaptor in a convenient to reach location for ease of use. Your can recharge two devices simultaneously, all while still being able to drive your scooter or powerchair.
A final gadget that wouldn’t go amiss for any chair or scooter user is a cup holder. They come in many varieties. We’re a big fan of the HandiCup, as it is easy to install and remove without tools, and will fit on any chair.
