EksoUE is a wearable, upper-extremity exoskeleton designed to assist a patient’s affected shoulder and arm during rehabilitation. With EksoUE, patients can achieve rehab sessions with a higher dosage, more intense therapy, and a wider active range of motion.

Cognitive Abilities
For safe use, users must understand cause + effect (action = result). Independent use requires the ability to understand and follow 2 step instructions. Users must also have intact judgment (ability to learn that if something is unsafe, they should not do it).
Functional Abilities
Users must have a functional active range of motion (including at least 20 degrees of shoulder flexion with ⅖ shoulder strength). This device is not appropriate for people with poor skin integrity where the device makes contact, severe UE pain with movement, painful shoulder impingement, or those with unresolved UE deep vein thrombosis.
Environment
This device is currently only available in certified rehab centres.
Activities
This device can be used in both seated and standing positions. It can be used in a range of clinical environments and is not tethered to static equipment making it ideal for functional activities of daily living or gaming activities.
