Full Description
We stopped selling the I-15 Classic on 4/29/16. It’s been replaced by the I-15+.
Tobii Dynavox I-15 is a portable speech generating device that enables effective communication – from voice output, environmental control, and computer access to long distance communication. Its rugged design, power management, and touch and gaze input support are features that make the I-15 ideal for those who rely on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Cognitive Abilities
This device is appropriate for people who want or need to communicate with the world around them. For independent use, individuals must understand that words and actions have impact. Given the ability to access the internet, supervised use is recommended for children and individuals unable to appreciate the permanency of their digital communication.
Functional Abilities
This device is designed for people with enough trunk and limb control to tap a screen/keyboard or operate a switch/head scan. Users with limited/no vision require sufficient hearing to compensate with audio feedback. Eye Tracking users must be able to keep 1 eye in the track box, focus on the screen and keep aligned with the device at about 60cm.
Environment
This device is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The advanced Eye Tracking technology functions in all lighting types including outside in the sun.
Activities
Aside from communicating basic wants and needs, this device is designed with the user’s social agenda in mind. Its perfect for reading books, playing games, watching sports/Netflix, and connecting with friends and family via email, and social media. Its portability makes it ideal for school, travel, and daily outings like shopping and dining out.

Access to apps is simple. Limited knowledge of computers. Will take time to get used to it. Some symbols are not so intuitive (delete key for example). I like how everything is larger
