The PRiO®-mini is an iPad-based communication tool featuring the popular LAMP Words for Life® language system.

The PRiO-mini is configured as a dedicated device to meet the functional specifications of the Medicare/Medicaid funding requirements, and is locked from computer access and all other non-communication functions.

The PRiO-mini come equipped with the LAMP Words for Life app. LAMP Words for Life is a full vocabulary augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) language app that combines the power of Unity® with the principles and strategies of Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP).

The LAMP Words for Life language system is appropriate for a wide range of individuals, including those just beginning to communicate to those with advanced language skills. Throughout the language learning process, the motor patterns used to say words remain consistent to allow for the development of quick and easy communication.

Language development typically occurs through the pairing of a consistent motor pattern, the sound that motor pattern produces and the reaction the individual gets from their environment. LAMP presents vocabulary in the same manner so those language connections can be developed.

An optional Integrated Feature Pack (IFP) is available for customers who choose to upgrade the device to its full capability.
