Full Description

The Artho-Aquatic Fitness System is designed to allow persons with arthritis and connective tissue disease to participate in physical activity without placing unnecessary stress on the individual joints.  The System is comprised of an Artho-Aquatic Fitness unit, filled with heated water, in which a person exercises.  A safety harness is used to insure the patient’s safety in completing the underwater exercise program.  Two oars are utilized to exercise the arms and a turbine is utilized to operate similar to a bicycle, which strengthens the muscles in the legs and thighs.  The Artho-Aquatic Fitness System, also, promotes greater flexibility and range of motion.  Other special benefits are  that patients will lose weight and have a more positive outlook on life.

The Artho-Aquatic Fitness System can be utilized in homes, hospitals, extended care facilities, fitness facilities and by sports teams.  It is affordable and easy to use.  Users can step into the Artho-Aquatic Fitness System, or use a companion lifting device that allows a caregiver the ability to easily and safely lift a person up to 500 pounds into the Artho-Aquatic Fitness System
