The FlowAid FA100 Sequential Continuous Contraction Device
FlowAid’s FA100 is a unique, hospital and home use device that uses a sequential pattern of neuromuscular electrical stimulation to increase blood flow. The primary mechanism of the FA100 is to activate the calf muscle pump using electrically stimulated controlled muscle contractions to compress the deep veins of the lower leg. These contractions run from distal to proximal along the leg in a peristaltic wave. The periodic compression of the deep veins results in increased venous outflow and increased arterial inflow, making the FA100 is extremely useful in the treatment of diseases that benefit from increased blood flow.

The FA100 is easy to use and exerts no external pressure on the leg, resulting in high patient compliance that is essential for good clinical outcomes. Patients have complete mobility without any interference in their daily activities while using the FA100 SCCD.
