Patients Who May Benefit
Patients unable to cough or clear secretions effectively due to spinal cord injuries, lung disease associated fatigue, or neuromuscular deficits such as those associated with muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and post-polio syndrome.

How It Works
The system supplies positive pressure (inhale) to inflate the lungs, then quickly shifts to supply negative pressure (exhale), during this process secretions are sheared and can be removed with suction. During the pause or resting phase of the cough cycle the system can supply Positive Airway Pressure, this is called PAP on Pause. The PAP on Pause feature may be more comfortable for the patient because the airways are stinted open between the cough cycles. Manual and Automatic modes can be programmed using a simple touch-screen.
